We stay overnight at comfortable Fosshotel Reykholt. The hotel has two outdoor hot tubs for a relaxing soak in the evening either before or after dinner.

Pick up from Keflavik Airport heading straight to the Blue Lagoon to relax from the flight in the warm geothermal waters. What better way to arrive in Iceland!

Then we head to West Iceland along the shores of the beautiful Hvalfjordur fjord (whale fjord)

The last stop of our day is in Reykholt in Borgarfjordur where we will look at Deildartunguhver, one of the most productive hot springs in Europe. We will also visit the well preserved thermal pool from the Middle Ages, where Snorri Sturluson used to bathe.

We are heading south towards the famous waterfall Gullfoss where we can approach close to the precipice on the surrounding cliffs.

On the way we stop to look at the beautiful waterfalls Hraunfossar and Surtshellir lava cave.

After a stop at the glacier we drive the highest mountain road in Iceland to Thingvellir national park, the old parliament site of the Vikings.

Onwards into South Iceland we go to the Geysir hot spring area. At Gullfoss we’ll explore the geothermal area around Geysir where you can see the geysers erupt every few minutes. from there we drive to Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall.

Overnight accommodation at the farm guesthouse Hestakrain where there will be oppourtunity to go horseriding for additional charge.

Departure from Fosshotel Reykholt at 9:00 am and we head towards Langjökull, the second biggest glacier in Iceland.

You have the opportunity to go for an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) ride for additional charge.....

On route to Landmannalaugar we will stop to look at beautiful waterfalls and will be driving inland through a beautiful mountain area where we will have opportunities for short and longer hikes. We can bathe in the warm natural pool. Please bring bathing suits and towels!

From Landmannalaugar we drive through the beautiful glacier valleys to Eldgja, the fire rift by our Hotel Hofdabrekka, near the small village Vik where we stay overnight.

Hotel Hofdabrekka, offers comfortable accommodation with 4 outdoor hot tubs filled with warm natural water, excellent for relaxation.

.... or simply take an evening stroll down to the black sandy beach.

Departure from Hestakrain guesthouse at 9:00 am. to the amazing Landmannalaugar mountain area, renown for its colours and beauty. This is hikers paradise.

Thorsmork is one of the most beloved outdoor areas in Iceland, and excellent place for hikers and nature lovers. We arrive back in Reykjavik in the late afternoon.

We pass two amazing waterfalls, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls and a glacial lagoon on the way into Thorsmork.

We’ll stop to explore and it is possible to walk up into the recess behind the thundering torrent of water.

We will also be crossing some unbridged glacial rivers. Our powerful vehicles can ford fast flowing rivers even several feet deep in complete safety.

Departure from Hotel Höfdabrekka at 9:00 am. and we start off by driving westwards to the spectacular Thorsmork valley, stopping on the way to look at several beautiful spots. Reynisfjara picturesque black sandy beach with it´s beautiful basalt columns and possible bird-life and seals.

•Participants need to be reasonably fit and bring their winter gear, warm clothes, boots/hiking boots, etc.
•Guests can either bring their own sleeping bags or they can rent them from Mountain Taxi. Some winter gear can also be rented.
•Hotel accommodation is subject to availability and if the hotels mentioned in the plan are not available we will have to change hotels, possibly influencing the pricing of the tour. All accommodation has private bathroom facilities.
