Weather permitting you will have an opportunity to take an optional snowmobile ride on the glacier (cost not included).

We will stop at Seljalandsfoss, one of the most famous and picturesque waterfalls in Iceland.
We’ll head on eastward to the larger neighbouring glacier Mýrdalsjökull where we will venture up a steep mountain road to the end of the road near the edge of Iceland’s fourth largest glacier and home of the active volcano Katla. Some say this sub-glacier caldera is due to erupt soon.
Our day starts with your expert driver and guide welcoming you onboard one of our special Mountain Taxi super jeeps.
We’ll collect you from your hotel or place of stay in Iceland at 09:00.
As we head out of Reykjavík to the south shore enjoy seeing the settlements spaced out along the ring road and the large sheep, dairy and horse farms along the way.
Keep your eyes open for the beautiful Eyjafjallajökull glacier and the stunning Seljalandsfoss, which can be spied in the distance as we approach through the low lands. Also view the towering volcanic islands of the Westman Islands just off the south coast.
We’ll also visit the Skógar school settlement, nestled under a mountain ridge topped by the glacier, and walk up close to the powerful Skógafoss waterfall, which is often circled by beautiful rainbows on sunny days.
As we head back west toward the capital, we zoom along off-road on the lava beaches looking for seals and treasures.
We end our day back in Reykjavík with rich memories of the beautiful south shore of Iceland.
