Tremendous professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm, and excellent inter-personal skills.
I always feel safe and in good hands and would not consider travelling in Iceland with anyone else.

Serious off-roading needs serious tyres. We use tyres as large as 46” and lower the pressure once we are up on the glacier to increase the surface contact area with the snow. These huge tyres not only enable us to negotiate considerable obstacles but also let the car “float” on the snow.
Heavily modified suspension system and reinforced steering are essential to cope with the stress and strain of driving over rough ground.
The deep suspension of our vehicles means that we can travel both in safety and comfort to arrive in remote locations without being travel weary.
Lower gear ratios with a crawl gear are useful when driving through deep snow. Our vehicles can inch along with greater power than ordinary vehicles.
In driving snow, dark midwinter or late at night, you need all visibility you can get. Our vehicles are equipped with power front lights and additional roof-mounted beams to provide lighting outside the vehicle
Up on the glacier, you need to know precisely where you are to travel safely and avoid dangerous areas. In white-out conditions we may need to rely entirely on our accurate GPS positioning system.
Although Iceland has near 100% GSM coverage, remote areas may not be fully covered. All our vehicles are fitted with vehicle-to-vehicle radio and VHF comms that allows us to call for assistance if it were needed.
Getting stuck in the snow is all part of the fun of a good trip, but sometimes a vehicle might need some extra help to free itself. Each of our vehicles has a powerful tow winch so that it can free others.
Special engine modifications allow our vehicles to safely ford deep rivers. The raised snorkel pipe prevent the water being sucked into the engine.
